Art & Beauty Salon presents RUN! - Acrylic Canvas Series by Aimee Chaison & Fashion Show from designer Samy Guacherman. Thursday, November 29, 6pm-9pm.
Artist: Aimée Chaison
Born in 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Aimee Chaison grew up immersed in the folklore and culinary creations of the collective city. Marked by empathy and curiosity for the world and its range of emotions, her art is inspired not only by the history, mysteries, culture, and tradition of New Orleans, but also her upbringing and passion for southern simplicity.
Chaison attended Louisiana State University studying biological sciences, literature and interior design. At LSU, art was her outlet, constant companion, and personal escape. To Aimee, the concept of taking something and stylizing it into a personal vision is what art is truly about. Accuracy is a matter of opinion and beauty is in the originality of the creation.
This series, titled: “RUN!” focuses on the famous encierro or “Running of the Bulls” during the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, Spain. Frozen moments of primal fear and sheer panic, expose the purity of fear as the most basic emotion—a race with the possibility death, its perfect manifestation.
To capture the moment is to experience it. May her original creations inspire you to learn more about both art and the individual traces of emotion that you behold when you possess one of her pieces.
Fashion Designer: Samy Guacherman
The new collection was inspired by his homeland Venezuela. In his collection, Guacherman highlights sophistication and simplicity with touches of an avant-garde revering of the birds of his country.
With this fashion proposal, the talented designer shows his creativity and love for his beloved Venezuela. "As a designer I always carry a Latin flavor and color of my land. I have in my mind the smells of the forest and the inspiration of the sea,” said Guacherman.
